Welcome to the 2013 Formula 1 Fantasy League
Read through the detailed information below for full instructions on how to play the game and score points.
Team Selection
Once you have registered you will need to select your Formula 1 Fantasy Team.
All team management decisions such as team transfers and choosing your Drivers and Constructors (e.g. Ferrari, McLaren, etc.) occur in the Manage My Team page (not available while a Round is in progress).
Follow our simple on-screen instructions to select your team which can then be freely modified right up until the competition starts.
Your team will be made up of the following: 6 x Drivers 2 x Constructors
You can make a max of 2 selections from any one team e.g. you can select the 2 drivers from Ferrari, or 1 Ferrari driver and Ferrari itself as one of your constructors.
You must select a full team of 6 Drivers and 2 Constructors within the available budget before you can save your team.
New for 2013 - You must nominate a captain who scores double points.
Budget
You have a limited budget of 100 credits to start with. Spend it wisely! All Drivers and Constructors vary in price and your final team selection must be within your allocated budget. Note that the prices of Drivers and Constructors will fluctuate during the season depending on performance, popularity and bang-for-buck. This means that your total available budget could go up or down.
Budget values will change after every third round. So this means after round 3, then after round 6, etc.

Scoring Points
Your Fantasy Team is awarded points based on the actual performance of the Drivers and Constructors in your team during each race and qualifying session. Scores are updated at the end of each race.

Examples:
- Your selected Driver places 4th on the
grid in the qualifying session and ends up winning the actual race. You would earn 17 points for the qualifying and 30 points for the finishing position, therefore a total of 47 points.
- You earn points for both cars that your
selected Constructor has in a race. If your selected Constructors are Red Bull and Ferrari, and Red Bull finishes the
race in 3rd and 7th position and Ferrari finishes the race, in 2nd and 4th position, you would earn 44 points from Red Bull and 48 points from Ferrari.
Note Penalties for driver infringements will be taken into
consideration. So, if a driver qualifies in second place, but gets a 5-place grid penalty, his qualifying points
position will be 7 with 14 points.
